How to measure a wheel bolt pattern
The bolt pattern or bolt circle is the diameter of an imaginary circle formed by the centers of the wheel lugs. Mini Truck bolt patterns will be 4x _______mm. Bolt circles are measured in both inches and millimeters, therefore you may hear a bolt pattern referred to as both (i.e. 4x109.6 mm is also referred to as 4x110). A bolt circle of 4x110 mm would indicate a 4 lug pattern on a circle with a diameter of 110mm.
The diagram is an example of the proper method for measuring bolt patterns.
The conversion of inches to mm is 1 inch to 25.4 mm
Most of the bolt applications are in millimeters. You can determine your bolt pattern by measuring from the center of one wheel stud to the center of the opposing wheel stud across the hub.
Convert your measurement from inches to millimeters by multiplying by 25.4. It's that simple.
Example:
Wheel stud measurement: 4-5/16" = (4.313")
Formula:
4.313 x 25.4 = 109.6 mm ==> 110mm bolt pattern
4" = 4 on 100mm Bolt Pattern
4-5/16" = 4 on 110mm Bolt Pattern
4-1/2" = 4 on 115mm Bolt Pattern
